This pre loved Guild F-20 Troubadour is a parlor-style acoustic guitar built in the USA in 1979. The guitar and case do have significant signs of wear, which is to be expected considering their age, but all of these issues are purely cosmetic and they both function as intended.
Model & Era
The Guild F-20 Troubadour, part of Guild’s F-series of small-bodied acoustic guitars, was produced from 1956 to 1987. These models typically featured a spruce top and either maple (early years) or mahogany (from 1959 onward) back and sides.
1976 Design Update
Around 1976, Guild implemented design changes for the F-20: the body depth increased from approximately 4.125″ to 4.25″, and the scale length was extended from 24.75″ to 25.5″. Being a 1979 model, this F-20 reflects those revised dimensions.

In the 1970s, Guild’s Westerly, Rhode Island factory was at its peak craftsmanship. The F-20 of this era is regarded as a well-built, highly playable instrument that continues to age beautifully over decades.
