The GSR186 marks Ibanez’s entry into 6-string territory within the SR Gio Series, combining extended range with a streamlined design at an accessible price point. Finished in Pearl White with chrome hardware, it has a clean, contemporary look backed by dependable performance.

Its lightweight okoume body offers good resonance, matched with a bolt-on maple neck and a purpleheart fingerboard. A 54mm nut width and 400mm radius make it comfortable to navigate across all six strings, while 22 medium frets ensure smooth, easy playability.

Equipped with dual Dynamix H passive humbuckers, the bass delivers a full, balanced tone with strong lows and clear highs. The control layout is simple and effective, featuring two volume knobs and a master tone for quick tonal adjustments. The B16 bridge, with 16.5mm string spacing, provides solid tuning stability and accurate intonation.
