This is what Faith Guitars say about the Blue Moon Mercury Electro Scoop:

The Faith Mercury Blue Moon is a beautifully crafted instrument. Designed in the style of a Parlour guitar (or Parlor for our friends across the pond), it harks back to a time when such guitars were kept close at hand in the main living space—requiring a smaller, more manageable body than the larger instruments of the era.

Today, Parlour guitars are chosen more for their unique look and distinct tonal qualities—and in both respects, the Blue Moon Mercury truly shines. Its sound is warm and mellow, yet impressively resonant for its size. And as for its appearance—calling it “special” would be quite the British understatement.

The Faith Mercury is a classic short-scale parlour guitar. With the neck meeting the body at the 12th fret—rather than the more common 14th—it benefits from slightly lower string tension, making it noticeably easier to play than standard models.

These design elements combine to create an instrument that’s comfortable to hold, easy to transport, and delivers a surprisingly full-bodied sound for its compact size.

Tonewoods
Similar to guitars made from Maple, the Mango tonewood used in the Blue Moon model offers a more controlled resonance with fewer overtones. This makes it an excellent choice for live performance—balanced, feedback-resistant, and highly responsive.

Mango trees grow abundantly across the Indonesian archipelago, and the timber used in Blue Moon guitars is sourced locally near Faith’s workshops in Java. As always, all wood is procured from certified, responsibly managed suppliers.
