The Epiphone SG Standard features a contoured, double-cutaway mahogany body that offers effortless access to all 22 frets. Its glued-in mahogany neck enhances the SG’s signature sustain, while the fast SlimTaper™ C-profile neck and bound laurel fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and pearloid trapezoid inlays deliver smooth, comfortable playability. A 12" fretboard radius makes chords feel natural in the lower positions and ensures clean, buzz-free bends higher up.
Premium hardware—including Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, a Graph Tech™ nut, and a fully adjustable Epiphone LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece—provides rock-solid tuning stability and precise intonation.
Powering the SG Standard are two of Epiphone’s renowned ProBucker™ humbuckers: a ProBucker 2 in the neck and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge. Each pickup has its own independent volume and tone controls, along with a three-way toggle switch, giving you full control over everything from warm vintage crunch to bright, cutting lead tones.
