Full BOSS Katana amp flavour in a tiny portable guitar amp, the Katana-MINI uses authentic multi-stage analog gain circuitry to deliver serious guitar tone while traditional analog EQ and delay add to the features that you just don’t expect to find on a mini guitar amp.
With BOSS’s decades of research in energy efficient design, the Katana Mini is able to provide incredible, class-defying power using only six AA-size batteries.
While other small, battery-power amps often severely compromise on their sound quality in favour of size, the Katana-Mini has been designed to produce big, full tone that will have plugging in and playing every chance you get.
In order to create this big sound, BOSS designed a custom speaker, used advanced hardware and refined circuitry along with special component selection so all together the Katana Mini is able to produce powerful, high quality sound with a minimal footprint.
Most small amps have limited EQ options and with the Katana-Mini, once again Boss have defied expectations by equipping it with a genuine three-band analogue tone stack.
Providing natural sound shaping, you can adjust the EQ with familiar bass, mid and treble controls like you would expect from a tone stack in a full-size stage amp.
Additionally, you can further enhance your sound with the Katana-Mini’s onboard tape-style delay.
With the dedicated time and level knobs, you can easily dial in all sorts of great delay sounds from subtle reverb-esque ambience to long, warm delay repeats.
Since the Katana-Mini has an extremely advanced yet compact design, you can plug in and get serious guitar tone wherever you are.
Weight just under three pounds and taking up minimal space, you can easily place it on a table top or shelf while you’re at home, but with the integrated handle and battery operation you can just as easily pick it up and take it out with you to play wherever you want, whether that be indoors or outdoors.
Using the AUX input you can plug in your smartphone or other music playing device to jam along with your favourite tracks or just enjoy listening to them with the powerful, high-quality custom speaker.
A jack output allows you to plug in your headphones to play privately or you can connect it to an audio interface for recording with sound that has special cabinet voicing for a lifelike mic’d amp tone.
The Boss Katana-Mini amp has all-analog input circuitry, with multiple gain stages that drive three classic sound settings, giving you the same cascaded gain you’d expect in high-end amp designs.
The result is the Katana-Mini’s incredibly satisftying tone, wuick interactive feel and distortion that can be controlled with the input volume and picking strength.
