From Epiphone’s Inspired by Gibson™ Collection comes the Les Paul™ Standard 50s—a faithful tribute to the legendary guitars of the 1950s. Designed to capture the look, feel, and tone of the original era, this model celebrates Epiphone’s long-standing relationship with Les Paul, which began in 1940 when he built one of the world’s first solidbody electric guitars while working nights at Epiphone’s original Manhattan factory. That groundbreaking instrument, famously known as “The Log,” laid the foundation for what many consider the greatest electric guitar of all time: the Les Paul Standard.
The Les Paul Standard 50s features a mahogany body topped with a maple cap, paired with a bound ’59 Rounded Medium C-profile mahogany neck with a long neck tenon for enhanced sustain and resonance. A laurel fretboard with classic trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets delivers a comfortable, vintage-inspired playing experience. Hardware and electronics include Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners, a pair of highly regarded Epiphone Probucker™ humbuckers, and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers.
As an Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Original model, it also sports the Kalamazoo-style headstock, a Graph Tech® nut, era-appropriate wiring, and CTS® potentiometers. A premium gig bag is included for added protection and portability.
