That groundbreaking instrument—famously called “the Log”—laid the foundation for the Les Paul™ Standard, widely regarded as one of the most iconic electric guitars ever made.
The Les Paul Standard 60s models in the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson™ Collection capture the essence of early-1960s Les Pauls in both look and tone. They’re built with a mahogany body and maple top, while translucent finishes showcase an added AAA flame maple veneer for a classic flame-top appearance. A mahogany neck with a laurel fretboard features pearloid trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a slim, fast 60s SlimTaper™ profile for smooth playability.
Reliable Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and a Graph Tech® nut keep tuning stable, letting you focus on playing instead of constant adjustments. Powering the guitar is a matched set of Epiphone Probucker™ pickups— a Probucker 2 at the neck and a slightly hotter Probucker 3 at the bridge—each paired with its own volume and tone controls using CTS® potentiometers for precise, vintage-inspired control.
