This is what Epiphone say about the Les Paul Standard 60s Figured:
Epiphone’s long-standing relationship with Les Paul dates back to 1940, when he built one of the world’s first solidbody electric guitars while working nights at Epiphone’s original Manhattan factory. That groundbreaking instrument, famously known as “The Log,” went on to inspire the Les Paul™ Standard—widely regarded as one of the greatest electric guitars ever created.
The Les Paul Standard 60s models from the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson™ Collection faithfully capture the look, feel, and sound of early 1960s-era Les Pauls. Each guitar features a mahogany body paired with a maple cap, while translucent finish options showcase an added AAA flame maple veneer for the classic flame-top appearance.
A mahogany neck with a fast-playing 60s SlimTaper™ profile is topped with a laurel fretboard featuring pearloid trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a smooth, comfortable feel. At the headstock, Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and a Graph Tech® nut provide excellent tuning stability, letting players focus on performance rather than adjustments.
Electronics are handled by a balanced set of Epiphone’s acclaimed Probucker™ humbuckers, with a Probucker 2 in the neck position and a slightly hotter Probucker 3 at the bridge. Each pickup is wired to its own dedicated volume and tone controls using CTS® potentiometers for precise tonal shaping.
Offered in a range of attractive finishes and supplied with a premium gig bag, the Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s delivers an authentic Les Paul experience at a highly accessible price point.
