This is what Martin Guitars say about the D-10E Retro 12-String Special:
The Martin D-10E Retro 12-String Special is a dependable 12-string acoustic-electric guitar designed to deliver powerful tone, impressive projection, and reliable performance. Built with a solid spruce top, solid sapele back and sides, and scalloped X-bracing, this Martin Dreadnought produces bold projection, strong bass response, and a dynamic, balanced voice that stands out in any mix.
A satin finish, understated black binding, and Martin chrome enclosed-gear tuners give the D-10E Retro 12-String Special a timeless look, while the comfortable Performing Artist neck profile provides a smooth, modern playing experience. The Dreadnought body delivers the volume and depth expected from a 12-string Martin acoustic guitar, making it an excellent choice for songwriting, recording, live performance, and everyday playing.
The E1 electronics system with built-in tuner adds versatile amplified performance, while the included softshell case makes it easy to take your guitar from home to rehearsals, gigs, jam sessions, and beyond.
Whether you're picking up a 12-string for the first time or looking to expand your collection, the Martin D-10E Retro 12-String Special combines classic Martin tone, modern playability, and stage-ready versatility in one inspiring acoustic-electric guitar.
