The B-6 is a 2.4GHz wireless microphone system tailored for saxophone players. It features a clip-on transmitter that easily attaches to the bell of any standard saxophone. A flexible gooseneck microphone connects to the transmitter and locks in place, ensuring optimal sound pickup. This microphone uses a custom-designed electret condenser capsule, specially tuned and suspended to minimize keying noise and unwanted resonant frequencies. The system offers three voicing modes to deliver the best sound performance for Tenor, Alto, and Soprano saxophones.
The receiver features a convenient XLRM plug-in type, allowing easy connection to a microphone input on a mixing console or amplifier. When powered up, the system auto-pairs and seeks the best carrier to maintain a stable connection. Both the transmitter and receiver are rechargeable and come with a power case that recharges both components when stored. The power case itself can be recharged via a standard USB type-C port.
