The SVT-3PRO delivers 450 watts RMS at 4 ohms or 275 watts RMS at 8 ohms. Its tube-driven preamp uses 12AX7 valves, with a Tube Drive control allowing the player to add anything from subtle warmth to more pronounced overdrive and harmonic character.

Tone shaping is particularly comprehensive, with three-band EQ, a five-position midrange selector and a nine-band graphic EQ. Bright, Ultra Hi and Ultra Lo switches provide additional control over the overall character of the sound, while the graphic EQ can also be switched remotely to provide an alternative sound setting.

The amplifier includes an effects loop, tuner output, mute switch, balanced XLR line output with level control and both 1/4" and Speakon speaker outputs. At approximately 11.8 kg, the SVT-3PRO offers a practical combination of substantial power, flexible tone control and classic Ampeg bass character.
