Pre Loved David Oddy Mandocello inc Hiscox Case

This pre owned item is in good condition with a few signs of light wear and includes a Hiscox hard case.

The Oddy Mandocello is a distinctive member of the mandolin family, offering a rich, deep and resonant tone that sits between the bright, sparkling sound of a mandolin and the fuller voice of a guitar. Designed for ensemble playing, traditional folk music and acoustic arrangements, the mandocello provides a unique tonal character that adds depth and warmth to any group.

Featuring a larger body than a standard mandolin, the instrument produces a powerful, rounded sound with excellent resonance and sustain. Its multi-string course arrangement gives the notes a distinctive richness, making it well suited to chordal accompaniment, melodic passages and traditional mandolin-family repertoire.

With its unusual design and distinctive voice, the Oddy Mandocello is an appealing instrument for folk musicians, collectors and anyone looking to explore the deeper sounds of the mandolin family.
