A modern take on a student-friendly classic first introduced in 1956, the Duo-Sonic HS combines a compact, comfortable design with an impressively powerful sound. Built for adventurous players who like to break from tradition, it delivers versatile tones and an unmistakable Fender character.
The Duo-Sonic HS features a new pickup configuration designed to bring out the guitar’s natural voice. A Duo-Sonic single-coil pickup at the neck is paired with a vintage-style humbucking pickup at the bridge, providing a wide range of tonal options for virtually any playing style. The push/pull tone control adds even more versatility by splitting the bridge humbucker into a single-coil, while the master volume and tone controls make it easy to fine-tune your sound.
Its 24" scale length gives the guitar a warmer, thicker character while providing a slinkier playing feel that makes bends easier and more expressive. The 9.5"-radius rosewood fingerboard features 22 medium-jumbo frets and is paired with a comfortable "C"-shaped maple neck, making it well suited to a variety of playing styles. Its shorter scale and compact dimensions are particularly comfortable for players with smaller hands or those who prefer extended chord shapes.
A six-saddle, string-through-body hardtail Strat-style bridge improves sustain, while the bent-steel saddles add brightness and enhance upper harmonics, helping the guitar cut through a busy mix.
The Duo-Sonic HS's smaller body makes it especially comfortable for smaller players and highly practical for energetic stage performances. A gloss polyester finish protects the body, while the satin polyurethane neck finish provides a smooth, fast playing experience. Classic Fender-inspired details—including knurled flat-top control knobs, cast/sealed tuning machines and a three-ply Mint Green pickguard—complete the updated look.
Blending vintage character with modern versatility, the Duo-Sonic HS brings a fresh perspective to a classic guitar that's often overlooked. Compact in size but surprisingly huge in sound, it's ready to stand out both on stage and in the studio.
