This pre loved Mesa/Boogie Mark V is a high-end tube guitar amplifier known for its versatility, precision, and wide tonal range. It serves as a “greatest hits” of the Mark Series, combining elements of the Mark I, Mark II-C+, and Mark IV while adding modern refinements. It is in great condition and comes with a foot switch and cover.

Key Characteristics

  • Three Independent Channels:

    • Channel 1 delivers clean and edge-of-breakup tones with exceptional clarity and headroom.

    • Channel 2 provides crunch, blues, and classic rock sounds.

    • Channel 3 offers the signature Mark-series high-gain lead tone with tight low end and strong sustain.

  • Multiple Modes Per Channel: Each channel includes several selectable modes, allowing players to access a wide range of voices—from vintage cleans to aggressive metal gain.

  • Graphic EQ: The onboard 5-band graphic equalizer allows precise tone shaping and is one of the amp’s most defining features, especially for the high-gain Mark sound.

  • Switchable Power Settings: Users can select different wattages (90W, 45W, and 10W depending on the configuration) for each channel, allowing everything from full-stage power to bedroom-level saturation.

  • Tube Power: It runs on 6L6 or EL34 power tubes (with switchable bias options), giving players the ability to tweak feel and response.

  • Built-in Reverb and Effects Loop: The reverb is all-tube and channel-assignable. The effects loop is highly transparent and works well with pedals or rack gear.

The Mark V is capable of pristine cleans, classic rock crunch, modern metal tightness, and smooth lead tones. It’s often praised for its precision and clarity even at high gain, making it a favorite for progressive rock, metal, fusion, and studio use. Despite its complexity, it is extremely controlled and reliable once dialed in.
