The Stentor Student I is a perfect first cello for students up to the middle grades. It provides dependable performance, consistent sound quality, and a pleasant tone, all of which support the student's learning journey. Each cello is crafted from solid tonewoods, featuring inlaid purfling, high-quality dark pau rosa pegs, and an ebonized fingerboard. It comes equipped with a composite tailpiece that includes integral adjusters for easy tuning.

The outfit also includes a sturdy wooden bow with natural horsehair and an ebony frog. The cello is securely protected in a well-designed, padded blue and grey nylon cover with safety reflectors, along with pockets for the bow and accessories, and convenient back straps.
