The Takamine EAN10 is a well-regarded dreadnought acoustic–electric guitar from Takamine’s “Natural” series. Though discontinued, it remains popular for its tone, playability, and elegant simplicity. It has a few dings and scratches (pictured) but it plays well and sounds great. The case has taken a big knock and has lost a large chunk of the outer layer.
Top: Solid cedar for warmth and responsiveness.
Back/Sides: Solid mahogany adding depth and richness
Finishes: Thin satin (matte), uncoated to allow the top to resonate fully
Rosette: Subtle tinted wood ring; no pickguard to maximise soundboard vibration

Neck/Mahogany: Comfortable with smooth access to upper frets thanks to the cutaway on “C/A” model
Fingerboard: Rosewood with 21 frets; reviewers praise its playability and neck feel
Preamp: Equipped with Takamine’s CT4B onboard system—volume, 3-band EQ and a chromatic tuner
Plug‑in sound: Users describe it as “pro quality,” suitable for live performance and recording
Pickup style: Through-the-bridge stringing adds clarity and sustain
Acoustic voice: Big, full-bodied with rich mids and warm bass—great for strumming and fingerstyle .
Onstage response: The cedar top excels in clarity, and the preamp faithfully preserves natural tone
Ageing well: Many owners report that the guitar improves with time, much like fine vintage instruments
