With its rich golden-brown burst top, the Gold Label 517e SB radiates a visual appeal that mirrors its vintage-inspired tonal character. This reimagined Grand Pacific model—now crafted with a deeper body than the original round-shoulder dreadnought—delivers bold acoustic-electric performance with remarkable low-end presence. The solid mahogany back and sides are paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, producing a warm, organic tone with a pronounced midrange and a woody, seasoned quality. Our torrefaction process enhances the top's tonal maturity, lending a sweet, broken-in sound reminiscent of cherished vintage acoustics.

Inside, the guitar features our innovative Fanned V-Class bracing, which increases volume and sustain while improving intonation across the entire fretboard. The slim, satin-finished neck incorporates our patented long-tenon Action Control Neck™ joint, allowing players to adjust string height on the fly. This extended tenon design also improves the tonal connection between the neck and body, resulting in enhanced low-end resonance and a fuller, more open sound.

Aesthetically, the 517e showcases the distinctive design language of the Gold Label Collection, including a modified headstock with a back-angled cut and a script-style Taylor logo inlay. It comes equipped with a cream-colored pickguard in a unique shape, with an optional firestripe version available. Additional appointments include a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge with Indian rosewood bridge pins, cream-colored Crest inlays on the fretboard and headstock, cream body binding, and a matching single-ring rosette. Taylor nickel tuners and LR Baggs Element VTC electronics round out the setup. The Gold Label 517e ships in a premium British Cocoa deluxe hardshell case.
