This is what Boss say about the GX-10:
The BOSS GX-10 Multi Effects Processor delivers professional-grade sound in a compact, travel-ready format, making it ideal for guitarists and bassists on the move. Powered by the same advanced sound engine found in the acclaimed GX-100, it provides access to 32 premium amplifier models and 170 effects, offering exceptional flexibility across all musical styles. Its intuitive colour touchscreen and dedicated control knobs make crafting tones fast and effortless, while the built-in expression pedal and multifunction footswitches provide enhanced control during performances.
Featuring BOSS’s AIRD technology, the GX-10 offers authentic tube-like tone and dynamic response, making it equally suited for live use and studio recording. USB-C connectivity allows for seamless, high-quality audio recording to computers and mobile devices. With support for BOSS Tone Studio, users can easily manage presets, customise sounds, and download Livesets from the global BOSS community—ensuring a constantly evolving palette of inspiring tones.
Uncompromising Sound Quality
The GX-10 delivers exceptionally responsive BOSS tone processing in a compact, travel-friendly design. It’s ready for any playing scenario, offering 23 guitar amplifiers and nine bass amplifiers, including high-gain X-Ultra, X-Optima, and X-Titan models developed with BOSS’s latest technologies. Explore limitless creative possibilities with 170 built-in effects—ranging from overdrives and distortions to modulation, delays, and reverbs—along with dedicated bass effects and iconic BOSS favourites such as Slow Gear, Octave, Slicer, and more.
Create Great Sounds in No Time
The GX-10 makes tone creation quick and intuitive thanks to its vibrant colour touchscreen and four responsive parameter knobs. Each preset can host up to two amplifiers and 15 effects, with the freedom to arrange them in series or parallel. Effortlessly change effect order by dragging blocks directly on the screen, and integrate your favourite external pedals using the built-in send/return loop. With BOSS Tone Studio, sound design goes even further—edit tones, load custom IRs from your computer, or wirelessly fine-tune settings using the optional Bluetooth adaptor and the mobile app.
Flexible Real-Time Control
Despite its streamlined design, the GX-10 offers powerful real-time control for onstage performance. With intelligent control modes and just three footswitches, you can adapt quickly to any playing situation. The built-in expression pedal switches between volume and wah, and activates the tuner when pulled back—but it can also be fully customised via the GX-10’s assign matrix to control almost any parameter.
Up/Down Mode
Keep your setup simple by stepping through memories one at a time. Create essential presets for clean, crunch, rhythm, and lead tones, or take advantage of the 66 banks and 198 user memories to build a full set list and scroll through sounds seamlessly during your performance.
Manual Mode
This mode transforms the footswitches into three freely assignable controls. Use them like a traditional pedalboard to toggle effects or engage a solo boost, or take things further by adjusting up to 20 parameters with a single press.
Bank/Number Mode
Select memories within banks and unlock the Current Number function, which lets you access additional parameters by pressing the switch of the currently loaded preset. This allows you to expand each memory with extra options such as a solo boost, added delay, or any other function you choose to assign.
Organise and Record with Ease
Beyond deep sound editing, BOSS Tone Studio lets you organise your GX-10 presets into Livesets tailored for specific gigs and playing scenarios. Through BOSS Tone Exchange, you can download professionally crafted tones and share your own GX-10 Livesets with the global BOSS community, with full compatibility for GX-100 Livesets as well. Additionally, the built-in USB-C audio interface enables high-quality recording of your guitar tones directly into music production apps on both computers and mobile devices.
