By Allen & Heath:
The MixWizard WZ3:16:2 is the next evolution of a true industry classic—powerful, flexible, and refreshingly easy to use. This 16-channel mic/line mixer continues the legendary MixWizard legacy, delivering pristine sound, rock-solid build quality, and an insanely practical feature set that’s made it a go-to console for professionals across countless applications.
For years, Allen & Heath has shipped thousands of MixWizards worldwide, earning their place in the pro audio hall of fame by nailing four essentials every time: exceptional audio quality, bulletproof reliability, intuitive operation, and genuinely useful tools. The WZ3:16:2 carries that tradition forward with modern refinements and serious performance under the hood.
Each of the 16 mono channels features mic/line inputs, 4-band EQ with sweepable mids, a switchable 100Hz high-pass filter, individual phantom power, 6 aux sends, mute, signal and peak LEDs, and smooth 100mm faders. Configurable direct outs and inserts use rugged all-metal TRS jacks for maximum reliability.
The stereo mix section delivers precision control via 100mm faders, 12-segment tri-color metering, and insert points. A flexible A-B output provides an additional stereo feed, selectable pre or post L&R faders, and can be reconfigured via a unique under-panel switch as a local monitor output. A dedicated mono output with its own fader lets you create a summed L+R feed or an aux-fed submix with ease.
Six highly configurable auxiliary sends make the WZ3:16:2 equally at home in live sound, monitoring, or studio environments. Aux 1–2 are pre-fade, Aux 3–4 are switchable pre/post, and Aux 5–6 are post-fade—with internal options allowing even deeper routing flexibility. Aux masters feature rotary controls with TRS outputs, and buses can be monitored in mono or stereo pairs.
Two stereo returns accept TRS line inputs and feed directly into the main mix, with ST1 also routable to Aux 1–4. The onboard digital FX engine packs 32 high-quality effects with MIDI control, configurable in single or dual FX mode, and returned via ST1. Effects can be muted via footswitch, and editing software is available from Allen & Heath.
The Engineer’s Toolbox rounds things out with flexible monitoring options, dedicated headphone and local monitor outputs, clear PFL indication, and intelligent signal routing that keeps you in control at all times.
