It uses high-speed digital algorithms to shift the pitch of an instrument up or down, allowing musicians to simulate multi-guitar harmonies, 12-string guitars, or bass lines from a standard guitar.
Control Layout and Pitch Modes
The pedal features a three-way toggle switch paired with a central selector knob to access 21 different pitch variations:
- 3-Way Mode Switch: Chooses the direction of the pitch shift:
- Sharp: Shifts the pitch upwards.
- Flat: Shifts the pitch downwards.
- Detune: Shifts the pitch slightly by a few cents to create a lush, spacey chorus effect.
- 7-Way Pitch Selector: Chooses the exact musical interval for the shift. The available intervals are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and an Octave (12 semitones).
- Wet Knob: Adjusts the volume level of the processed, pitch-shifted signal.
- Dry Knob: Adjusts the volume level of the original, unaltered guitar signal. This allows you to blend the two signals together for harmony, or turn the dry signal all the way down for pure pitch shifting.
Circuitry and Enclosure
Like other pedals in this series, it features an all-metal aluminum-alloy chassis built to withstand stage use while maintaining a miniature footprint to save space on a pedalboard. It includes true bypass circuitry to ensure your clean tone remains completely unaffected when the pedal is turned off. A bright LED light indicates whether the effect is currently active.
Power Requirements
Due to its micro size, there is no space inside the casing for a 9V battery. The pedal requires an external DC 9V power supply with a center-negative polarity and a minimum power draw of 110mA.
