Epiphone and Gibson Custom continue their celebrated collaboration with the flagship Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom. Combining timeless Les Paul Custom styling with premium appointments, professional-grade hardware and Gibson USA electronics, this exceptional electric guitar brings the legendary Custom experience to a new generation of players.
The Les Paul Custom was originally developed in 1954 at the request of Les Paul himself, who wanted a more luxurious version of his signature guitar with an appearance he described as being like a “tuxedo.” The original models were introduced in Black, followed by White and other finishes over the years.
The Inspired by Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom continues this tradition of elegance with a solid mahogany body and maple cap, delivering a balanced tonal character with warmth, clarity, attack and definition. Multi-ply binding across the front and back of the body adds to its unmistakably luxurious appearance.
Classic Les Paul Custom details remain throughout the instrument, including a bound ebony fretboard, mother-of-pearl block inlays, extensive binding and the iconic Custom split-diamond headstock inlay.
The one-piece mahogany neck features a comfortable Modern Medium C profile and is joined to the body with a long neck tenon for enhanced stability, resonance and sustain. The bound ebony fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets and elegant mother-of-pearl block inlays.
The five-ply, Gibson-style open-book headstock features Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Graph Tech nut and the distinctive Epiphone logo alongside the famous Custom split-diamond inlay.
At the bridge, a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar provide reliable tuning stability, accurate intonation and excellent sustain.
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom is equipped with Gibson USA 490R and 498T humbucker pickups, delivering the powerful, versatile tones associated with the Les Paul Custom.
